8-22 Two faced North Jetty
Well, ran at North Jetty. Ran 30 minutes, probably 3.8 miles. I died after 20 minutes, although not for lack of trying. I'm not a good morning runner. Mr. Johnson gave a good speech about commitment to always showing up. He also mentioned running with the top seven if you want to be varsity. I felt that this was at least somewhat directed at me, as I'm right on the fringe and turned back early yesterday. I tried hard to stay with the other guys, but I really did die. This was a tough run. North Jetty is either easy or rather hard for me. It's somewhat puzzling. Of the 4 times I can remember practicing on it, it's been hard-easy-hard-hard. Oh well. Moving on. Ready for Tommy. I didn't get enough sleep tonight. I wanted to play a little bit of Resident Evil 4 before I went to bed, but it woke me up. I couldn't go to sleep for a long time. I should have learned this stuff by now! crap. oh well. Next time I'll remind myself the right thing to do. Also, I took ferrous sulfate last night for the first time. No more repeats of last year's collapse. It was 49.1 at the beginning of the summer, but it couldn't have gone anywhere but down. I need to get it up to the 60's.
